Losing a pet is often a child's first experience with grief and it's real, it's big, and it deserves to be honored. This gentle two-hour class creates a safe, creative space for kids to share memories, feel their feelings, and make something beautiful in honor of the pet they loved.

We'll gather for story time with carefully chosen pet loss picture books, move through a grounding exercise to help little hearts feel steady, and spend time sharing our pets' names and stories. Then we'll create an memorial portrait - a piece of art your child makes themselves, to keep forever. Framed artwork will be available to pick up at a later date.

Classes are kept small so every child feels seen. A parent or caregiver is welcome to stay. Please email us a photo of your pet ahead of class at info@shopgoodgrief.com and we'll have it ready at their seat.

Does your child need a little reminder of just how amazing they are? Just in time for the back-to-school transition, this hands-on creative workshop will allow kids to slow down, get crafty, and leave with something truly special - a personalized set of affirmation cards and a calming essential oil spritz or roll-on, both made entirely by them.

We start with a short grounding meditation to help kids arrive calm and open. Then, through a cozy read-aloud and guided journaling, each child explores what makes them feel strong, brave, and uniquely themselves - the animals they love, the words that feel like "them," and the things they want to feel more of.

With a little guidance, those discoveries get transformed into powerful personal affirmations, then it's art time! Kids decorate pre-cut cards, write their affirmations, and get them laminated to keep forever. We close the class by blending a simple calming spritz or roll-on using kid-safe essential oils, complete with their own hand-labeled bottle to take home.

Your child will leave with a laminated affirmation cards, a custom calming essential oil spritz or roll-on, and a whole lot of confidence. No experience needed — just an open heart and a willingness to have fun.
