I purchased this book because I lost my beloved soul dog in Sept 2024 and was looking for outlets to process it. Pet loss grief has been the single-handedly most painful experience I have been through. A helpful tool in this book is the grief feelings wheel to assess where you are at this moment. I like that I have the option to work through the meditations in whichever way serves me. Lately I have been thinking of his last earthly day with us and keep replaying in my head and its traumatizing. This exercise helps me re-frame it by writing a letter to and from my beloved. I know I gave him the best day he could have possibly had, but sometimes it doesn’t feel like enough. I know Beth’s book will help me navigate this soul shattering journey I am on. Would highly recommend to anyone currently experiencing or knows someone that is.

Perfect for my daughter’s broken heart
I was thrilled to run across Good Grief when I turned to the internet to get ideas for how to help my daughter grieve the end of a 2-year relationship.

I was feeling super stumped about what to do for a truly sweet and thoughtful friend who recently lost a close family member. When I was googling options for care packages, I found Good Grief and I was soooo excited. The pre-made gift baskets are super cool and I loved that I was able to choose my own items to create a truly personalized and meaningful gift. The items available represent such a great variety of supportive and thoughtful gifts - I was so thankful for the opportunity to include truly helpful resources for grieving that were the perfect fit for my friend’s direct, no-nonsense, and hilarious personality. While I was choosing items for her gift basket, I noticed there were available options that were more serious or religious, which would be perfect for different important people in my life if/when they were experiencing a similar loss.
